Finance & Giving
The Global Methodist Church Difference:
The local church is the root of our ministry in the GMC. We endeavor to keep ministry funds in the hands of the local churches, instead of in the hands of the conference. We partner with our local churches in mission and ministry to make Disciples of Jesus Christ throughout the world! We believe in trusting our churches as the Lord provides for their churches in their Connectional Giving, to help support connectional resources, ministries, and missions in the Conference.
We do this by staying grounded in scriptural holiness, the guiding principles that shape our attitudes, behaviors, and decisions.
Our North Carolina Values Are:
Transparency
Trust is rarely achieved without transparency. As good stewards, we will provide financial & administrative information on a timely basis with clarity & conciseness through various available avenues for your access.
Accountability & Integrity
We are accountable to you, the Annual Conference. As servants of Christ and the Conference, we accept the covenant to provide the financial & administrative information you require. We do so to honor Jesus.
Lean "Footprint"
As a Conference, we are good stewards of the funds entrusted us & committed to mission. We aim to minimize expenses where possible, such as not having a conference center or central office building.
Local Church is the Center of Ministry
The Annual Conference can train, guide, & nurture your churches, but we recognize the Conference cannot do the ministry the local church can. Keeping funds in the local church keeps the focus on ministry.
